ABSTRACT
Letter of the monks of Villers to the abbess and nuns of the abbey of Rupertsberg, after the decease of the illustrious abbess Hildegard of Bingen. The monks of Villers expressed their condolences and repeated 38 questions they asked in a previous letter, related to the mystical and visionary gifts of Hildegard of Bingen (vide Narrative Sources V055). The letter ends with an ode to Hildegard. Possibly Guibertus Gemblacensis played an important part in the redaction of the letter.
