Sex: M- Bio: About Alpertus Mettensis little is known. Sigebertus van Gembloux names him monachus in Metz, where he probably stayed in the Saint-Vincentiusmonastery. Later on he was in the diocese of Utrecht, probably in Tiel. Alpertus died after 1025. (NaSo 1983): The author mentions himself at the end of the dedication to Constantijn, abbot of the Saint-Symphorianusmonastery in Metz: Hoc opusculum ego Alpertus, nec inter servos Dei nominandus, de presule nostro digessi tibique, sancte pater Constantine, ad corrigendum direxi. (NaSo 1984): The author mentions himself in the dedication to Burchardus, bishop of Worms ( 1025): Burchardus, sancte Wormaciensis ecclesie provisor humillimus, Alperto, speciali suo, gratie integritatem et plurimam salutem.-Status author (order, function):
