ABSTRACT
Short notice about the Saint-Marcellus-flood, that ravaged Leiden and its surroundings in 1362. According to the writer the flood forecasted a human quarrel. The prediction was fulfilled, because Leiden became in dispute with Delft, after the city council of Delft had imprisoned some citizens of Leiden. Some citizens of Delft were imprisoned in Leiden in retaliation.
