Dutch biography of Saint Eustace. Eustace was a Roman general who during the hunt, after a strange encounter with a deer, converted to Christianity. Then the vita recounts how the convert lost his family but refound them a few years later. To conclude with a scene in which Eustace signed his death warrant because he refused an imperial order to participate in a pagan festival.
