ABSTRACT
Life of the apostle Bartholomaeus (+1th century). Bartholomew was one of the twelve apostles of Christ. After Christ's death and resurrection he went to preach in the Middle East, Arabia and India. According to legend, Bartholomew died in Armenia by decapitation after they had stripped off his skin.
