ABSTRACT
Life of Saint John Paul. The hermit John Paul was tempted by the devil to rape and murder a princess. After his crime, he led a secluded life as a penitent in the forest. Because of his repentance Mary brought the girl back to life, and the hermit was eventually restored in his honor by appointing him as bishop.
