ABSTRACT
Life of S. Barnabas (+ 1th. century). Barnabas was a Jewish Cypriot who was sent to Jerusalem by his parents at the age of twelve. There he became one of the first disciples of Jesus. Later Barnabas accompanied apostle Paul on numerous preaching tours and missionary missions. Both got a disagreement which urged Barnabas to go his own way and travel together with Marcus to Cyprus, where he would be stoned.
