ABSTRACT
Life of Saint Christopher (+ 250). He was the son of a pagan king, originally named Reprobus, who converted. Christopher got the advice of a hermit that he could serve Christ by helping travelers to cross the river. According to legend, one night a child wanted to cross the river. Along the way the child was getting heavier so Christopher nearly collapsed under the weight. Eventually the passenger revealed himself as Christ and baptized Christopher in the river.
