Leven van Elisabeth van Spaalbeek. Toen de abt van Clairvaux in de lente van 1267 de abdij van Herkenrode visiteerde, hoorde hij het verhaal van de stigmatisering van Elisabeth en besloot dit verder te onderzoeken. Bij zijn terugkeer naar Clairvaux schreef hij een gedetailleerd rapport over zijn bevindingen.
