Leven van Beatrijs van Nazareth (1200-1268), priores van de cisterci�nzerinnenabdij Nazareth bij Lier. Beatrijs was de auteur van verschillende mystieke traktaten in het Nederlands; de auteur van de vita voegde ingekorte en vertaalde versies van deze traktaten in zijn tekst in.
