Geslacht: M- Bio: monnik van Sint-Bertijns, 1058 of kort erna volgde hij bisschop Hereman van Wiltshire (+1078) naar Engeland en werd waarschijnlijk als monnik in het klooster van Sherborne geplaatst, verbleef tevens in andere kloosters (o.a. abdij van Canterbury), wellicht kapelaan bij de zusters van Wilton; +na 1106 (cfr. INHOUD
Geschiedenis van de abdij Minster-in-Thanet na het overlijden van de H. Mildreda, tweede abdis van dit klooster (ca. 691-700): de translatie van haar relieken naar de Sint-Augustinusabdij te Canterbury in 1030 (Colker, Sharpe)/ 1035 (Barlow, BHL, Hardy, Rollason) door Aelfstan en de mirakelen die zij er bewerkt heeft. BHL 5964 is deels een deel van een ingekorte versie van BHL 5961 die de editoren van de AASS vonden in twee handschriften.
